I agree with you 100% that Trump has inspired some of the most gullible and ignorant conservatives to embrace awful rhetoric and even violence to resist the inevitable changes of our culture and society. It’s tempting to blame others when you think your life hasn’t turned out the way you want it, and some conservatives have really displayed a deranged persecution-complex going down the rabbit hole of ethno-nationalism.
