Yep, Republicans willingly accommodate racists and militant ignoramuses for short-term political gain every election. Republicans have perfected wedge issues to get elected, only to trash all their promises on those wedge issues so they can instead legislate policies that almost exclusively benefit the very rich actively exploiting the unfortunate dupes who gave their votes away for mere lip service to the wedge issues.
