Yeah it was basically Paul who went around telling a bunch of Greeks they didn't have to get circumcised or eat kosher to follow Jesus. The whole "justification through faith alone" idea was Paul's, whereas the 12 Disciples were going around preaching Jesus' message of "justification through works." The Book of James (the Disciple who became the leader of the Jesus cult after Jesus died) pretty much directly refutes what Paul was going around saying.
