“Why Won’t Women Date Me?” Ask Trump Fans

Dating is hard these days, but no one has it harder than guiltless, single, and lonely former Trump Administration staffers looking for love in the capital city.

Being involved in the Trump presidency has become a major red flag for users of popular dating apps like Tinder, Bumble and Grindr, and Trump staffers are either quickly swiped left on if their jobs are listed in their bios or ghosted once the topic of employment comes up in textual conversation.

Meanwhile, the immigrant-babies-stolen-and-stuck-in-cages controversy has had a lasting negative effect on Trump staffers’ dating lives, even when they don’t go out of their way to brag about it as a career milestone.

“I don’t get it, I worked in the White House and I thought that would be a major turn-on for girls,” explained Michael Herman, 36, a Trump staffer who hasn’t been on a date with a female since 2017. “But women don’t appreciate how much winning went on in the White House while Trump was president.
