If the Department Of Justice doesn’t arrest Trump, it’s a damning indictment of our justice system’s gift of immunity to those rich enough to live lives of perpetual litigation.

From Trump’s just nonstop abuse of power for personal gain, and breaking of every moral rule and ethic he has ever felt financially or electorally constrained by, to the Mueller report being obstructed, and then misrepresented, and then still published in an opaque manner. From both impeachment trials fizzling out politically because of Republican bad-faith refusals to even publicly consider the evidence against him, to all these post-presidency investigations approaching two full years of inconclusive efforts while Trump is still free to continue obstructing justice and committing crimes of all kinds without any interference. He’s literally on tape threatening Georgia’s Secretary of State if he can’t “find” 11,780 votes.

It begs the question of why we have any laws at all if there’s literally no consequences to breaking most of them to use America’s entire national bureaucracy to abuse, profit from personally, and self-aggrandize with.
