Why Democrats Should Make Kevin McCarthy Speaker (At The Last Moment)
Let McCarthy be an emasculated, incompetent apostate Speaker who keeps the GOP caucus hopelessly divided.
I have a great strategy idea for Democrats: ensure Kevin McCarthy gets elected Speaker of the House.
They don’t have to do it anytime soon. I’m 100% for watching Kevin squirm, sweat, cry on the inside, and beg his caucus for days (hopefully it can last for weeks!). I was looking forward to Tuesday’s succession of failed Speaker votes like a second Christmas, and it entertained me much more than consecutive series of monotonous 435-member votes should.
James Cameron could save several hundred million dollars in production costs by forgetting about Pandora and all the digital special effects, and just bringing his 3D and IMAX cameras into the House floor to film Kevin’s decade-long ambitions melt away as he slowly realizes his wretched journey clawing his way to the Speaker’s gavel selling his soul at every turn spinelessly sacrificing his every last quantum of integrity, principle, and courage has still fallen short of his life’s ambition.
But Kevin McCarthy as speaker is much better than Jim Jordan, who is the only alternative…
