The “Red Wave” Midterm Was A Red Whimper… Thank Your Deity Of Choice!

The midterms went TERRIBLY for Republicans.

Republicans obviously have Donald Trump to blame because Trump is personally responsible for endorsing ludicrous candidates across the country, and Trump’s only priority for recommending candidates is that they suck up to him. However, GOP primary voters share a lot of the blame for following Trump blindly into nominating awful candidates who are toxic to independents and unelectable in general elections.

Of course, right before the midterms, Trump said before seeing any results, “Well, I think if they [Republicans] win, I should get all the credit. If they lose, I should not be blamed at all.” …Lol. Classic Trump.

NOTABLE ELECTION RESULTS:

  • While Republican Ron DeSantis had a big night and is getting lots of media attention for winning Florida by about 20 points (including flipping Miami-Dade County), so did Democrat Jared Polis in Colorado, winning by 17 points, and Democrat Gretchen Whitmer in Michigan, winning by 10 points and flipping both chambers of the legislature.
  • Democratic governors also won reelection in Wisconsin, Oregon, Kansas, Maine, New Mexico, New York, and new Democratic governor Josh Shapiro kept…
