Mayor Of Enlightenment

I found a disgruntled bodhisattva in a pool hall angry

cause he missed a shot and scratched

and plopped the eight in a pocket he didn’t call

and lost a lot of money

and he told me he quit

and nominated me the next local mayor of enlightenment

and said it’s easy to fake it

all you gotta do is riddle up a fact

or ask expectant pilgrims nonsensical things like

when is the rain most wet?

and if that doesn’t send them away

tell them to cut out all their dualities

and only monoize from here on out

and that will do the trick to get them off and thinking

though most importantly away from you

because he said

this you’ll find early and eternal

the desperate for awakening are very clingy.
