Turtledoves

what else is life but unsolicited zoo confinement

if the omniscient one really meant for us

in all these years we’re thrust into open eyes

with restless hands so dextrous with creative manufacturing

and maundering curiosity so enthusiastic for assimilation

into diversity and rarity and sui generis eccentricity

to merely rim his egotistical numinous butthole?

what would you do if you were the creator

whose image you are reported to resemble?

would it incense you with incandescent fury

that todd wilson of akron ohio

did not burn a turtledove for you after his wife gave birth?

would you design a master plan

that required burning turtledoves for a thousand years?

would you send a version of yourself to earth to be tortured and sacrificed

just so you can forgive the turtledove hoarders from their sins?
