I could not disagree with your assessment more. Democrats regularly get shellacked by the entire mainstream media and everyone loses their minds when they say something like MAGA fans are a "basket of deplorables" or that conservatives "cling to their guns and Bible," yet virtually every day Trump calls Democrats "scum," "sub-human-vermin," "enemies of the state who should be shot," and then actually tries to use the military to shoot protesters or do other things the military refuses for being illegal, and he gets a free pass because he does it so often it's not news.
