A Message From Future Historians: Fuck Mitch McConnell
Mitch McConnell has been out of the picture and very quiet for the last two years, likely because of his increasingly apparent health issues, but remember every time you get mad at the sad, pathetic, fascist state of the Republican Party that all of this is his fault, more than anyone else. He engineered the “one-term-president” approach to dealing with America’s first Black president, he opportunistically looked the other way as conspiratorial racists and morons hijacked GOP primaries across the nation with spectacularly awful candidates peddling delusional politics of resentment fanning the culture war flames that has led to Donald Trump being somehow tied in the polls despite regularly vowing to use the military against American citizens, and he could have whipped the votes in the Senate to convict Trump in an impeachment trial after January 6th and exiled Trump from politics for the rest of his life. But he was a coward when it mattered most.
