Donald Trump Just Revealed His Summer Reading List, And It Will Surprise You
Lol, like Donald Trump reads. He doesn’t subscribe to nudie magazines for the articles! Got ya! The only literary things Trump has ever read are the encyclopedia entries he plagiarized for his school essays.
“The Art of the Deal” is the only book recommendation President Doofus would give you because he gets a portion of the profits that don’t go to the ghostwriter who actually wrote it.
So, instead, here is my Summer Reading List of recommendations!
The Count of Monte Cristo — Alexandre Dumas / the greatest revenge story ever told. Get the unabridged version, and enjoy all 1,400 pages!
The Stranger — Albert Camus / The absurdist classic by the most maverick existentialist writer!
The Trial — Franz Kafka / Dryly hilarious, and an eerie prophesy of fascist, bureaucratic ridiculousness. This book better embodies the term “Kafkaesque,” which is misleadingly associated in the culture more with Kafka’s better known novella Metamorphosis.
This Side of Paradise — F. Scott Fitzgerald / Everyone knows The Great Gatsby, but check out Fitzgerald’s debut novel full of collegiate whimsy. This novel is at times experimental in form, and quite autobiographical.
