A Trump Voter Just Realized His Life Will Never Be Improved By The GOP
Long-time Republican voter Arnold Bierman, 49, today had an epiphany that the Republican Party’s policies on socio-economic issues will never improve his life.
“I was just sitting at my kitchen table eating my breakfast oatmeal, when the most enlightened idea suddenly struck me!” exclaimed Bierman. “I was thinking about how much of my beloved state of Ohio is suffering rust belt symptoms, and how many of our young people in exurban and rural towns have suck bleak futures of economic stagnation, and I suddenly realized that the GOP has been pretty much the driver of America’s capitalistic devastation in terms of economic inequality, labor rights, laissez-faire regulations, and social Darwinism. Thanks to Republicans, wages of the working class have been entirely disconnected from the soaring rise in productivity, and a wildly disproportionate majority of wealth has gone to the extreme economic elite. Then I started thinking about how this has been further exacerbated by the GOP’s taxation and economic policies that have allowed the super rich to hoard their money, hide it outside America in international tax havens, and game the finance system to the point that big corporations and banks have all their profits entirely privatized with outrageous salary contracts and bonuses, capital gains loopholes in the tax code, and stock…
